Would be interested to know if anyone has found great landlord insurance suppliers. Terri Scheer is one that is very good but would like to know if there are others that our landlords could compare too. Thanks for your help.

Hi Sharon, a lot of my owners use Terri Sheer, I do have a couple though that use AAMI and Elders Insurance. I have had one owner use NRMA and the maximum claim they paid out was $5000, not much if a tenant doesn’t pay their rent and leaves the property a mess.

We have Real Landlord Insurance in New Zealand, it does need to be purchased alongside the standard house insurance, but covers for many rental specific concerns.

That would be good if it was like that in NSW. Insurances in NSW are extremely high due to the last lot of floods we had and prior to that we were in drought and there were fires.

EBM insurance is pretty good - had a great claim approved through there.
